I did it again...

Another tri-fecta...That means I combined all three of the awesome challenges over at Design Dollies..http://designdollies.blogspot.com/ into one layout. I chose a pic of my dd, Bella with three binkies, I guess one is not enough for her. I originally wanted to title it "binkie Hog" but part of the challenge was to use a crown somewhere in your lo, and I thought "Binkie Queen" fit perfect. SO here it is, hope ya like it...

I have been given this awesome award...

Although I have not been around the internet scrapbooking community very long I have met some amazing women and have had the awesome opportunity to work with a few of them. One in particular is DARIEN. I met her over at Scrap That, and let me tell you she is extremely talented and one of the sweetest people I will ever meet. So go check out her blog http://darien-lovingmylife.blogspot.com/, and leave some love for this amazingly talented woman that gave me this award.

Rules for this award are: Link back to the person who gave you the award; Post where you would like to be in 10 years; Give this award up to 10 awesome bloggers.

I choose to give this award to Kelly,Karen W., Lynette, Tettiz, Myia, and Zoa.

Where do I want to be in 10 years...I would hope that I'm still scrapping, maybe just a little bit better. I would like to be or have been on more design teams, and possibly making money doing what I love.

Bubba, Man's Best Friend

Here is my latest attempt at the challenges over at Design Dollies. I was brave this week and tried out the tri-fecta http://designdollies.blogspot.com/...I am pretty happy with the way this one turned out!!! The pic is of my twin boys, Memphis and Mikel in their 4 year b-day pics. Aren't they so cute in their train conductor getup!?! The pic was taken at an old train station, and they are actually sitting on a train caboose.

Pin wheel flower tutorial.

Here is a tutorial for my version of a pin wheel flower.

1. First gather your supplies: 5x5 sheet of paper, 4x4 sheet paper, adhesive, hole punch, a brad, and a pencil.

2. First take your 5x5 piece of paper and cut at each corner almost to the center. Make sure and don't cut all the way to center.

3. Take and bend one corner to the center and glue. Fold the next corner in and repeat with the other two corners.

4. Punch a hole through the center of the flower.

5. Repeat the entire process with your 4x4 piece of paper and then place the smaller flower in the center of the larger flower, making sure to line up the holes. Place a brad in the holes to hold the two flowers together.

6. Take a pencil and curl the edges of the petals. the more you curl the better the flower will look.

7. Fluff your flower and adjust to your liking, and there you go, a really pretty, simple flower.

You Grow So Fast

This was a layout that I did from a sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays. The sketch was amazingly fun and I can't wait to play with more of their sketches!!!! The pic is of my dear daughter,Bella when she was first learning to stand. It amazes me everyday how fast your children grow!! The flowers are my take on pinwheels that I turned into flowers. I hope you like it,and i want to thank all the talented gals over at Sketchy Thurdsays for the inspiration.

1. Gather your supplies( Notebook,Trimmer,or any cutting device, adhesive, paper, ribbon, and embellishments.

2.Measure and cut paper to fit the front side of notebook. Get as close to the metal spirals as you can. Glue in place.

3. Embellish to your liking.

4.Using two different yet coordinating rolls of ribbon cut strips about two and a half inches long.

5. Tie the ribbon around each spiral, alternating colors. Make sure and tie the knot as tight as you can get it!

6. Fluff the ribbon and you are finished!!!!!!!Sit back and enjoy your fabulous creation!!

Sorry that the final pic is of a different notebook.I was making 4 different ones for my boy's teachers and I must have taken a picture of the wrong finished notebook, and it would be my luck that they gave them to them today.Oh well hopefully you get the picture!!! Good luck.

Little Boy Blue...

This a lo i did of my ds,Memphis for the awesome challenges over at Design Dollies. http://designdollies.blogspot.com/
I decided to combine both the elements challenge, anything nursery rhymes, and the sketch challenge. This was so fun for me because these are colors that I normally do not scrap...I'm more of a neutral kind of gal, so this was way different for me! So hop on over to their site and play along cause they are giving away some awesome prizes at the end of the month!!!

Bella

This is a lo I did for my daughter so that she knows where her name came from. I was about 7 months pregnant with her when i started reading the Twilight series and absolutely loved the name of the main character,Bella. The page on the lo is an actual page torn from the Eclipse book and the quote at the top is said to Bella from Edward in the Eclipse book. There is a small pic of Bella and Edward in a frame at the bottom of the flower cluster that I think kinda ties it all together. I wanted to title it, "I hope you someday find your Edward" but did not have a pic of her that I felt was appropriate for this title. Thinkin I'll wait until she's older for that page. Hope you enjoy this one!

Mother's Day Gifts...

So this year I decided to make my own Mother's Day gifts to give to my mom and my mother in law... I found this awesome photo of my mother and I right after I was born and decided that it was the pic I wanted to use. I titled the page our Bond because my mother and I share a bond
that could never be broken...she is my best friend and I love her with all my heart.

My mother in law loves to be at the lake and since i have tons of pics of my kiddos at the lake I decided to make her a lo of her only grandchildren doing what she likes best...lounging on the beach. She is a wonderful women and I hope that she enjoys this as much as i enjoyed making it for her.
