Bella Creations Guest Designer call

Want to play with some amazing goodies for free? Bella Creations is holding a call for a guest designer for the month of October.

The guest designer will be required to create at least three projects in the month of October using the October embellishment kit, one being due October 5th, which will be featured with the release of the kit. The projects can be in any form that you wish...card, layout, altered piece, as long as it contains at least 75 % supplies from the kit. I ask that you promote Bella Creations on your blog(if available) and other sites where this type of promotion is allowed. You will also have the chance to do a tutorial, either photo or youtube video for the Bella Creations blog.

Your work, if chosen will be featured all month long on the Bella Creations site as well as the blog. You will also receive this amazing badge to show off wherever you like.

Applicants must be a member of the Bella Creations ning site and a follower of the Bella Creations blog.

Bella Beach House Embellishment Kit

Wooooo hooooooo I am soooo excited and so thrilled to now be offering an embellishment kit at Bella Creations.

Bella Creations has really become a sort of haven for some amazing altered artists as well as card makers and scrapbookers and I really wanted to be able to offer a kit that encompasses the needs of all!!! I'm now officially a Youtuber!!!! Wooo hoooo!! I broke down, lost the nerves(not so much) and did my very first youtube video!!! It was pretty good, I think, for it to be my first!!! I had so much fun doing the first video, that I actually did a second, and I am uploading it as we speak, or type!!

The first video is of a mini album that is in Progress, NOT FINISHED, story of my life....the second is of a mini I received through the Sisterhood Swap group, Mini swap at Bella Creations. Come play maybe you'll be my partner and I can show off your gorgeous creation on a video!!!

Friend...a mini for my dad on Father's day

So last night I had to stay up late late, I mean way past my bed time to finish a mini album that I was asked to do for a client, and I will share it with you in just a bit, but first I want to show ya'll a mini that I somehow threw together at around 3am this morning!!!

My father has always had a dog obsession, I mean he almost loves them as much as he does his own kids, maybe a lil more, but anyways....I thought what better to do than make him a mini to show off his current loves, Bonnie and Clyde. Two lil pugs that have stolen my dad's heart!!!!

I took a set of TH clock dies, and added all my vintage embellies I could find....threw in some G45 Proper Gentleman pp and here ya have it!!! I would like to give credit to the clock mini idea to an awesome friend, Carla....she made an amazing mini with this die and I was totally inspired by it!! THANKS CARLA!!!!

I so love the way this mini turned out and sure hope that my dad loves it as much as I loved creating it for him!!! LOVE YA DAD!!!!

I also worked on, and finished...waaaa hooooo.......a mini album for a client. She asked me to create a mini for a friend of hers who loves bags and purses, and being that I love vintage, I went with a vintage Hollywood Vogue theme...lots of purples, black, and turquoise!!! Yummy lil book for a happy customer!!!


Okay, well it's time for me to clean up the humungous mess I created last night, later gaters!!!!

Take Flight Altered Frame

I finally had time to do a lil something for myself and I do have to say I am super happy with the way it turned out!!!! Starr, one of my gals, has a challenge up in the Altered art group at Bella Creations and I wanted to step back from the minis and try something fun so I played along. We had to incorporate the phrase, TAKE FLIGHT, and what better way to do that than with BUTTERFLIES!!!!!!

I found a frame laying around the house, picked it up, and never looked back. I painted first with light pink paint, layered a crackle medium over the top, then covered all that with a layer of antique white paint. Heat set it and waited for it to crackle, and boy did it!!!! Doesnt it look like a piece of weathered wood!! YAY!!!

I took the beautiful Butterfly Garden papers from the June "Heavenly" kit and fussy cut my lil heart out....a lil mod podge and VOILA!!!!! Of course I had to add some IAMROSES flowers and a lil Butterfly!!!! Oh yeah, i even glued down some transparent pink beads along the inside of the frame..SUPER SHABBINESS!!!!!!

I hope to play more so in the future so keep an eye out for new creations!!!!!!

I'm teaching again

Waaa Hoooooo I am teaching again!! Since the closing of my lss I have been pretty bummed, and really missed my scrapping gals....so i decided why not buy the supplies and put on the classes myself? Sure, GREAT idea, and I am super excited to be doing just that!!!!!

For anyone who knows me knows I work at a lil BBQ restraunt (?)lol....in Woodward Ok...yes I drive 2 and a half hours to do it, but I LOVE IT!!!! I have been a waitress there for 15 years, and everyone there is like family...okay most really are family, my mom is the manager, sister a waitress,....anyway....the place has a banquet room at the front of the building and that is where I will hold the classes!! Plenty of room for lots of fun!!!

So I went out, bought the supplies and put together this layout to teach....if you look closely there is a small stickpin(handmade by me) in the flower cluster...this will be the technique taught.
